The Main idea - A private one to one yoga class really is a speedy way of gaining a greater understanding of yoga and experiencing a practice with poses that suit you and your level. Expect it to improve your postures and gain new insight (both postural and spiritual). Poor alignment and other bad yoga habits might become a thing of the past - your yoga practice will come on in leaps and bounds.

Spotlight - Nadia Narain is one of the UK’s most sought after yoga teachers - she teaches the likes of Jules Oliver, Luella Bartley and rumour has it that Ms Moss calls her in to get honed and toned. In a flash she can tell you more about your body and how you are feeling than both your GP and your therapist. Her manner is calm and considered with a bit of fun thrown in for good measure.

Her hatha style is dynamic enough to heat up my body yet her careful and precise adjustments make me feel stretched but not overly so - which can often happen with less experienced teachers.

What happens We do a short meditation, we omm, we move, she aligns and it’s all just - well, perfect. In the candlelit room, which smells of heaven, I feel truly like I am becoming more in-tune with myself - this can only be a good thing. At the end of my practice I am swathed in a cashmere blanket and a scented eye bag is gently placed over my eyes. Before I know it I have drifted off to sleep and my mind is still, at least for a moment. Could this be the most luxurious treat available in the modern world?

Best bit - It’s hard to say as the experience was very special. The environment felt safe and cosy, the alignment spot on and the postures were exactly what I needed. At the end I was offered some twig tea and told very strictly that I must find some time for myself.

Good for - Great for any level of yoga practitioner, from beginner to advanced. If you want to improve your practice and gain a deeper understanding of yoga this might be just what you need.

The result - A calm mind, stretched limbs, increased body awareness. And that special after yoga glow that happens when you have a great class, this really is yoga heaven.
