The main idea Hatha yoga helps you listen to your body so you become aware of muscle movement and fitness as long term life insurance. Regular practice is a release; fighting stress, fatigue, headaches, colds, fevers and constipation whilst boosting your state of mind.

Spotlight Talented practitioner Lara Stapleton has an in-depth understanding of yoga and knows exactly how to pass on her expertise. Classes are small and intimate (with rarely more than three or four students at a time) so you feel special and unashamed of your mistakes. Best of all her attention to detail means you won't make them again. Shockingly, exercise feels like a treat and Lara offers winning advice on any ailment (and if she can't fix it, there will be someone at the Bowskill clinic who can).

What happens  We kicked off with a short meditation in our pristine candlelit treatment room, scented with sandalwood, lavender and rose and move through a series of movements that are challenging but never unpleasant or too taxing. The class passes in no time and then I am covered in a cashmere blanket for a blissful relaxation session during which I drift off. Next up is her hard to beat full body Aromatherapy massage, targeting hands, feet, scalp and face. Aching muscles are soothed, calmed and stretched and I find it very hard to get up off the bed. I float all the way home feeling far more toned, with a lighter and brighter state of mind.  

Best bit The divine aromatic plant oils Lara uses. She has a miraculous and healing touch but is firm and will get the best from your body. Her soothing voice and Zen like presence are a joy.

Good for Any age or fitness level, Lara is patient and instantly adapts to teach a wide range of levels. Timid beginners will gain confidence and understanding and more experienced yogi's can hone their practice and heighten their fitness. Excellent after a difficult day at the office as you can let of steam and unwind.

The result  Longer limbs, strong muscles and the satisfaction of bending your body into positions you never thought possible. A clever class, you emerge minus any stress and strain.
